Abstract:

In embodiments, the invention includes a system, an apparatus, and a method for cleaning reusable straws. The system includes a chamber configured to contain a liquid, a siphon to drain the chamber, a transducer to deliver sonic energy to the chamber, and a plurality of straws disposed in the chamber. Each straw includes a tubular wall defining a lumen. The lumen has a length and a cross-sectional area, and the cross-sectional area is substantially constant over the length.

Abstract:

A device includes a display, an optical sensor, and an augmented reality (AR) application. The optical sensor captures an image. The AR application determines visual properties of a region of the image, the region being adjacent to a portion of the AR content. The AR application determines visual properties of the AR content, determines a contrast between the region in the image and the AR content based on the visual properties of the region in the image and the AR content, and modifies an appearance of the AR content based on the contrast.

The peripheral device comprises a plurality of light source elements disposed along a perimeter of a face of the peripheral device and a peripheral electronic control system. The peripheral electronic control system is configured to form an optically detectable light pattern with the plurality of light source elements by controlling each of the light source elements. A head mounted device includes a helmet with a guide, a lens frame, at least one display surface mounted to the lens frame. The guide extends from a cavity of the helmet. The lens frame is moveably connected to the guide and moves along an axis of the guide between a first position within the cavity of the helmet and a second position outside the cavity of the helmet. The display surface is transparent and configured to display augmented reality content.
