Abstract:

A load relief system for a launch vehicle including a wind sensing system responsive to wind speed and direction at selected locations for providing an output of sensed wind speed and wind direction at the selected locations, a plant model responsive to the sensed wind speed and direction within a finite horizon, a current state of the launch vehicle, and control commands of the launch vehicle to predict the trajectory of the launch vehicle, an error circuit responsive to the predicted trajectory and a reference trajectory to produce a trajectory error, and an optimizer responsive to the trajectory error and configured to provide control commands to compensate for wind load over the finite horizon of the launch vehicle by reducing the total angle of attack.

Abstract:

A self-contained hand transportable portable exercise device for performing upper and lower body exercises is enclosed having a freestanding support frame with an upper portion, a lower ground engaging base, and a storage space therebetween, a horizontal seat member securely mounted to the upper portion of the support frame being of sufficient length for sitting exercises and insufficient length for prone-supine bench exercises, a bench extension member pivotally mounted to the support frame at the rearward end of the seat member for pivotal movement between a horizontal position in alignment with the seat member to form an elongated bench of sufficient length for prone-supine bench exercises and a downwardly extending position along the rearward end of the support frame for transport and storage, a support assembly for supporting the bench member in the horizontal position and for disposition within the storage spaced when the bench extension member is in the transport position, an upper body exercise assembly for performing upper body exercises detachably mountable to the support frame and alternately detachably mountable to the support frame within the storage space for transport a lower body exercise assembly for performing lower body exercises detachably mountable to the support frame and alternately detachably mountable to the support frame within the storage space for transport with the upper body exercise assembly and the lower body exercise assembly being simultaneously mountable to the support frame within the storage space when the bench extension member is in the transport position to form a compact configuration for transport and storage.

Abstract:

A portable self - contained exercise machine kit is compact and hand transportable. The kit when collapsed forms a rectangular configuration. The kit when assembled comprises a base member, a stanchion member and an exercise arm for performing upper and lower body exercises. The exercise arm is attached to the stanchion. An elongated handle is attached to the exercise arm and a bench member for attachment to the base is also provided in the kit.

Abstract:

This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus for intercepting a moving target by a plurality of interceptors that individually have insufficient capability to achieve intercept. An electronic processor can receive information corresponding to a state of the moving target at a first time. The electronic processor can determine a plurality of hypotheses for the future maneuvers of the moving target. The hypotheses can be based in part on the state of the moving target at the first time and the location of any defended assets. The electronic processor can assign a respective target maneuver hypothesis or set of hypotheses to each of a plurality of interceptors. The electronic processor can assign firing times and/or initial guidance commands to each interceptor. The electronic processor can update the set of feasible hypotheses based on additional receipt of information on the motion of the target and communicate this information to interceptors in flight via a communication subsystem. The electronic processor, or a secondary electronic processor located on each interceptor, can control each interceptor to maneuver such that the moving target is intercepted, based on the respective target maneuver hypotheses.
