Abstract:

An apparatus and method for depositing plural layers of materials on a substrate within a single vacuum chamber allows high-throughput deposition of structures such as these for GMR and MRAM application. An indexing mechanism aligns a substrate with each of plural targets according to the sequence of the layers in the structure. Each target deposits material using a static physical-vapor deposition technique. A shutter can be interposed between a target and a substrate to block the deposition process for improved deposition control. The shutter can also preclean a target or the substrate and can also be used for mechanical chopping of the deposition process. In alternative embodiments, plural substrates may be aligned sequentially with plural targets to allow simultaneous deposition of plural structures within the single vacuum chamber. A monitoring and control device can be wed to optimize equipment state, process state, and wafer state parameters by sensing each respective state during or after the deposition process.

Abstract:

A system for viewing 3-D images that comprises an image source (), a computer () and a television screen (). The television screen is divided into a plurality of sections (), with each section displaying an image representative of a certain depth in the image, as provided by the computer. Image display elements comprising optical fiber bundles () or lamps, (e. g. ) and leads (e. g. ) convey individual depth images from the television screen to a plastic block () in which the fiber bundles terminate or the lamps are positioned. The individual fiber bundles terminate at predetermined depths within the plastic block, with those conveying the nearest part of an image terminating at the front of the block, as viewed by an observer (). The fiber bundle or lamp conveying the greatest depth in the image terminates near the rear portion of the block, as seen by an observer. Fiber bundles or lamps conveying images of intermediate distances terminate at intermediate distances within the block.

Abstract:

A shut-off system for a dispenser includes a pinch member that moves relative to a guide and which is normally biased against a flexible outlet tube that is disposed therebetween. The flexible outlet tube that carries material, such as soap, supplied from a pump to an outlet nozzle. The pump and the pinch member are in operative engagement with an actuator, such that when the actuator is not engaged, the pinch member closes the outlet tube to prevent residual material retained in the outlet tube from flowing or drooling out of the outlet nozzle. Correspondingly, when the actuator is engaged, the pump is compressed, and the pinch member is moved away from the outlet tube, allowing the material to be pumped through the outlet tube and dispensed from the outlet nozzle.

A business management platform (BMP) for dynamically adjusting advertisement bid prices. The BMP receives an advertisement campaign from a marketer, the advertisement campaign being associated with a plurality of advertisements, and including targeting information for those advertisements, and receives segment membership data from a marketing management platform, segment membership data including a mapping of a user to a corresponding segment. The BMP associates the user with an advertisement, of the plurality of advertisements, using the segment membership data and the targeting information. The BMP determines one or more bid factors using the segment membership data, and determines a bid price for displaying the advertisement to the user using the one or more bid factors. A unique device identifier is associated with a user device used by a user to interact with a plurality of third party platforms.
