Abstract:

A method for determining porosity of a part is provided. The method includes: determining scan data of the part, the scan data including data of a plurality of sequential segments; determining a background model for the part, the scan data, or both; and determining a bulk porosity based on a difference between the scan data and the background model.

Abstract:

A method is provided for non-contact cardiac assessment of a subject. Images of the subject are captured from at least two synchronized independent imaging devices spaced equidistant from the subject and positioned such that each imaging device captures an image of the subject different from other imaging devices. Spectral components of the captured images are extracted. The extracted spectral components are analyzed. A signal corresponding to cardiac information is identified in the extracted spectral components. The identified signal corresponding to the cardiac information is extracted from the extracted spectral components.

Abstract:

A method, system, and computer program product include aiming a light source at an object, where the light source is communicatively coupled to the processor, and where the light source and the image capture device are both positioned at pre-defined distances from a the object and are not in contact with the object. The processor enables the image capture device, to capture measurements of reflected light, where the reflected light comprises the light from the source as the light is reflected out of the object, where the image capture device is communicatively coupled to the processor, and where an image comprises the measurements. The processor obtains the image and locates data indicating a center of the light source in the image. The processor extracts intensities of the reflected light at a pixel location measured to be a predefined distance from the center of the light source in the image.
