Skills:
Proficient with using an Insulation Tester, Low Resistance Ohmmeter (Analog and Digital), Transformer Turns Ratio Tester, Primary and Secondary current injection test sets, Ground grid test sets, Epochs, AVO/Megger MPRT and SMRT Relay test set, HiPotential Testers, Very Low Frequency Testers, and Multimeters. Familiar with testing and calibrating various mechanical and microprocessor relays including, but not limited to: IAC, IAV, IJCV, CO, CV, CA, HU, IJD, BDD, STD, SEL (various models), and Multilins (various models) Proficient in testing and cleaning various breakers including, but not limited to: GE breakers, Square D breakers, ABB breakers, ITE breakers, and Westinghouse breakers. Proficient in testing and cleaning transformers (DLRO, TTR, and Power Factor). Proficient in testing and cleaning Loadbreak Switches and Disconnects. Proficient in Ground Grid testing and Ground Rod/Lightning Arrestor testing. Proficient in PowerdB programming (ie: Creating, programming, and implementing test sheets into PowerdB including checking to make sure NETA specifications are included on test sheets and creating test sheets to be efficient and to perform calculations and highlight what is out of specifications and what is not) and administering PowerdB database. Proficient in various computer software including, but not limited to: Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Access, and Powerpoint), HTML, Java, Javascript, Visual Basic, VBScript, and C++) Experience reading blueprints( PID's, EE, one lines (power), ladder logic, loop sheets), and writing and developing new test procedures. Experience troubleshooting and repairing equipment utilizing previously mentioned skills and education. Experience performing optical fiber connectorization, fusion splicing, mechanical splicing, Optical Time Domain Reflectometer testing, and optical power testing.
