Abstract:

A vehicle is provided that is amphibious to include submersible operations. The vehicle has wings configured to generate a sufficient dive force to oppose buoyancy of the vehicle, when desired, which are disposed on opposing sides of a central hull. The vehicle is configured to enable easy transition from land operations to water operations, to include water surface travel as well as submerged travel.

Abstract:

Eyewear having easily removable lenses is provided with a frame that defines a first lens receiving recess on one side of a lens opening and a second lens receiving recess on a second side of the lens opening. Each lens has a first tab portion which corresponds with the first recess and a second tab portion which corresponds to the second recess and is mounted by placing the first tab portion in the first recess and the second tab portion in the second recess. Engagement between the respective tab portions and recesses maintains the lenses in the mounted position. To more securely lock each lens in position, a pivot member having a locking tab can be pivoted into a locking position in which the locking tab engages the lens.

Abstract:

A phacoemulsification system and method, and a surgical foot pedal device, system and method. The present invention may include a console comprising a plurality of modes for at least one physically associated surgical instrument, and a foot pedal communicatively associated with said console and suitable for varying ones of the plurality of modes. The foot pedal may include a housing comprising the communicative association, and comprising at least one potentiometer and at least two top switches for the varying of the ones of the plurality of modes, a treadle rotatably mounted within the housing and suitable for depressing the at least one potentiometer, and at least two side switches movably associated with the treadle for the varying of the ones of the plurality of modes.
