Abstract:

An apparatus and process is provided for producing semi-solid material and directly casting the semi-solid material into a component wherein the semi-solid material is formed from a molten material and the molten material is introduced into a container. Semi-solid is produced therefrom by agitating, shearing, and thermally controlling the molten material. The semi-solid material is maintained in a substantially isothermal state within the container by appropriate thermal control and thorough three-dimensional mixing. Extending from the container is a means for removing the semi-solid material from the container, including a temperature control mechanism to control the temperature of the semi-solid material within the removing means.

Abstract:

Systems and methods are disclosed herein for determining an insurance evaluation based on an industrial classification. The system includes a content processor, a computerized predictive model, and a business logic processor. The content processor retrieves content from a website related to an entity seeking an insurance policy and extracts data from the website content. The computerized predictive model accepts the data extracted from the website content from the content processor, processes the extracted data, and outputs data indicative of at least one industrial classification associated with the entity. The business logic processor determines an insurance evaluation of the entity based on its industrial classification(s).

Abstract:

An exposure control system for photographic apparatus utilizing pulse driven shutter-diaphragm light regulating elements in conjunction with a follow focus mechanism which in response to the location of the light regulating elements terminates the driving operation thereby automatically selecting an aperture value for flash operation. The follow focus mechanism locates a sensor switch in the path of travel of a pair of aperture defining blades as a function of scene ranging such that the sensor switch is actuated by the blades as the latter are displaced to the selected switch location and, in turn, terminates further pulses to the stepper motor thereby stopping the blades at a predetermined location defining a selected aperture value.
