Abstract:
A Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver and associated method capable of tracking weak GNSS signals from a plurality of GNSS satellites. In a preferred embodiment, code and carrier tracking loops are initially closed around the code phase, carrier frequency, and data bit edge estimates handed over from an acquisition mode. In subsequent tracking, early, prompt, and late copies of the code replica are correlated with the incoming signal. The prompt correlations are coherently integrated over an extended updating interval for data bit edge and sign estimation as well as for carrier phase and frequency error discrimination whereas the early and late correlations are used for code error discrimination. Code delay and carrier phase and frequency errors are used to update the code and carrier tracking loop filters. Together with data bits, they form observables of a GNSS signal's time and frequency parameters for timing and position fixing.

Advanced epoxy resins having a low total aliphatic halide content are prepared by reacting an epoxy resin having an average of more than one 1,2-epoxide group per molecule with a material having an average of more than one phenolic hydroxyl group per molecule in the presence of a solvent having at least one aliphatic hydroxide group per molecule and a catalytic quantity of an alkali metal hydroxide. These low aliphatic halide-containing advanced epoxy resins are useful in formulations for preparing laminates, moldings, pottings and coatings for the electronics industry.

A polymeric composition containing internal lubricants is suitable for low friction applications. The composition contains from about 65 to about 85 weight percent of a polymeric blend and from about 15 to about 35 weight percent of internal lubricants, wherein said blend consists essentially of from about 35 to about 100 weight percent of polybenzimidazole and from about 0 to about 65 weight percent of poly(aryletherketone), and said lubricants consist essentially of graphite and boron nitride in a weight ratio of about 1:10 to about 10:1, respectively. The composition is useful for preparing shaped articles such as bearings, bearing sleeves, rings, etc.
