Abstract:
A device () for delivering a medicament into a patient's body by injection into or through the patient's skin includes a body () having a reservoir () disposed therein for containing the medicament, an injection needle () for penetrating the skin of the patient, the needle () having a lumen and communicating with the reservoir (), and a pressurizing system for pressurizing the reservoir (). The device also includes indicator means () visible outside the device () for indicating that delivery of the medicament is substantially complete.

Abstract:
A drug delivery device () includes a body () having a reservoir () disposed therein for containing a medicament and an injection needle () for penetrating the skin of a patient, the needle () providing a path for the medicament between the reservoir () and the patient. The device () also includes a plunger () movable within the body () for causing the medicament to be expelled from the reservoir (), and a biasing means () for biasing the plunger () toward the reservoir (), wherein in a pre-activated position, the biasing means () telescopes within itself, and upon activation, provides a force to the plunger () for expelling the medicament from the reservoir (). The biasing means () is preferably provided in the form of a conical spring having a variable pitch.

A drug delivery device, including a body () having a reservoir () disposed therein for containing a medicament and an injection needle () for penetrating the skin of a patient, the needle () providing a path for the medicament between the reservoir () and the patient. The device also includes a rotor () rotatably disposed in the body () for activating the device upon rotation of the rotor (), a needle cover () for covering the injection needle, and a needle cover clip () disposed on the needle cover () to rotate from a first position preventing rotor rotation to a second position permitting rotor rotation.
