My name is Corey Hastings, and I am currently interested in applying for a position as a laborer/field technician. I believe that I am qualified for this position based not only on the work experience I have obtained but also on my own personal characteristics. I have over three years experience as a pipe fitter. During my time as a pipe fitter, I worked overtime as often as possible and am willing to work any and all hours that are required for this job. Further, I have over three years experience in fabrication types and sizes of pipes, and experience using the multitude of tools used to do so. Also because of my experience as a pipe fitter, I have excelled in beveling, fitting, and welding. I also have experience with the cutting torch, grinders, and electrical devices. I also believe in continually learning and the need to improve upon my skills, and have demonstrated the capacity to learn accurately and quickly new traits that are important to the job. Though not an exhaustive list, these skills are vital to the position for which I am applying and I feel will allow me to excel at the task at hand.
