Kyle Pilgrim shot a 3-under 69 as Houston remained in fourth place in the NCAA golf regional at Baton Rouge, La. Teammate Curtis Reed, who shot 75, is five shots out of the individual lead. UH's 596 team total is 18 strokes behind leader Florida. Houston Baptist (624) is 13th.
"It's huge," UH sophomore Curtis Reed said. "We haven't been since 2006. For coach Dismuke to come in here and already have that happen, it's monumental. It's almost more than you can ask for, and it's fun being a part of the program that's building."
