An adapter module for detecting an electronic fault condition in an electronic circuit is disclosed wherein the adapter module may include electrical fault indicator circuitry. In general, the electrical fault indicator circuitry may include ground fault indicator circuitry, line fault indicator circuitry, or ground and line fault indicator circuitry. The adapter module may also include a magnetic device capable of detecting a magnetic field between the electrical fault indicator circuitry and an electrical circuit module. The electrical circuit module may include a switch such as a circuit breaker, a relay, or a magnetically sensitive switch. The magnetic device may include a Hall effect device or a magnetic core.

Abstract:
An integrated communication system in an aircraft is provided. The system includes a plurality of solid state flight deck modules in an integrated flight deck panel, wherein the solid state flight deck modules include a microcontroller for interfacing with at least one data bus controller via a local bus; and a light emitting diode (LED) module for controlling backlit illumination of the integrated flight deck panel. The controller sends information to plural solid state flight deck modules via local buses and uses a system bus to communicate with aircraft subsystems. The controller also uses a central power supply module to supply regulated power to the plural solid state flight deck modules. Furthermore, at least one solid state flight deck module includes an integrated panel brightness control module, master brightness control module and/or a master dim and test control module.

Abstract:
A connector assembly mounted on a printed wiring board allowing modifications to be made to the connectivity using simple wiring techniques. The connector assembly contains special contacts providing three connections. One end of the contact mates with the source or destination of the signals in a modular electronic device. The other end accepts a wired contact for making additional connections not contained in the printed wiring board. The middle section of the contact makes a compliant connection to the printed wiring board. A signal can be disconnected from the printed wiring board by removing the contact and replacing it with a contact that is insulated from the printed wiring board.
