A feedforward amplifier circuit ( ) compensates for distortion introduced into an amplified input carrier signal ( ) by amplifying and feedforwarding a distortion signal component from one or more of the amplifiers ( ) in an amplifier array ( ) used to amplify the input carrier signal ( ). A communication system transitions from a high velocity mode of operation to a non-high velocity mode of operation based on a movement of a mobile station.
