Abstract:
A system for mounting an engine to a frame in a manner to permit measurement of its torque by a transducer which is isolated from loads induced by installation misalignments, frame deflections and acceleration induced forces. One embodiment of the system is compatible with widely used automotive resilient elastic engine mounts without engine or frame modifications.

Abstract:
A mechanical transmission gear shifting assembly connected to a transmission with multiple gear selectors that, when moved in a back and forth motion, selects different gear ratios via a cam with a cam follower for moving gear selectors, in response to the same active cam surfaces. The assembly additionally includes a retractable stop dog, and detents for moving, stopping and holding the cam at all times, such that the cam moves in increments corresponding to sequentially increasing or decreasing selected gear states of the transmission.

Abstract:
There is disclosed a gate valve which is moved to open position by an extendible and retractable, fluid-operated actuator, and which is moved to closed position, upon exhaust of operating fluid, by coil springs which urge follower parts reciprocable with a stem on the gate, and which extend from the valve body into a housing connected on the valve body, into engagement with cam surfaces on the housing. The cam surfaces are so arranged that the coil springs initially move the gate from open toward closed position with a relatively small force, and then move it into fully closed position with a force which is sufficiently larger to shear a wire line or other obstruction in the flowway of the valve body which would otherwise prevent closing of the gate.

Abstract:
There is disclosed a well installation having an electrically responsive device a substantial distance beneath the wellhead and apparatus for supplying electrical current to the device from a source of alternating or time varying current outside the wellhead, which apparatus includes an electrical connector comprising a first coil on the outer side and a second coil on the inner side of a non-magnetic portion of a pressure containing wall of the well, whereby the supply of varying current from the source to the first coil forms an inductive coupling between it and the second coil of the connector.
