Abstract:

The present invention combines two containers into a single container with two compartments or chambers, for the purpose of providing alcohol-based “shooters” that are not mixed until consumed. In some variations, containers can be pre-filled with an alcohol-containing liquid and another liquid, joined with a container top assembly, and distributed to a bar, night club, or restaurant for sale and consumption. In some embodiments, all-glass dual-chamber containers are provided.

The invention disclosed herein provides improved beverages, such as energy drinks and enhanced water, which can help the human body function better and recover faster from exercise or stress while maintaining a pleasant taste. Some embodiments of the invention describe recovery blends that include one or more ingredients selected from D-glucuronolactone, milk thistle extract, prickly pear extract, acai extract, and zeolites. Preferred beverage formulations do not include taurine. Some embodiments are designed specifically to be mixed with alcohol.

Abstract:

A magnetoresistive sensor has an air bearing surface, first and second vertical contacts having contact edges generally perpendicular to the air bearing surface, a generally rectangular magnetoresistive region having a first edge that comprises part of the air bearing surface and a plurality of additional edges which do not comprise part of the air bearing surface, and a permanent magnet layer having a magnetization vector oriented at 45. degree. with respect to the air bearing surface, wherein the plurality of additional edges are generally within the permanent magnet layer. The magnetoresistive sensor provides a relatively square read sensitivity window because the sense current is maintained parallel to the air bearing surface throughout the magnetoresistive region. In addition, the sensor is lapping intolerant because the relative positions of the first and second vertical contacts and the magnetoresistive region do not change as the air bearing surface is lapped.

The present disclosure is directed to self-synchronizing devices that can connect and self-synchronizes voltage, frequency and phase of two or more power sources. The disclosed embodiments enable a modular power system to serve as the primary or secondary source of power for applications requiring loads from a few kilowatts (kW) to the scale of megawatts (MW). The modular system is generalized to use either a single or multiple power generation sources at once, with the ability to connect and self-synchronize voltage, frequency, and phase of a variety of different types of power sources. Power control systems designed to function with self-synchronizing technology enable a modular power system to satisfy a wide variety of needs, simplifying the existing method of achieving synchronization and enabling new features of resiliency and expandability. The self-synchronization can be implemented into a wide variety of electronics including but not limited to inverters and generator controllers.
