Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for ceiling suspended systems according to various aspects of the present invention include a modular platform for supporting and supplying multiple devices. A wire way bar may facilitate connection and support for the devices, such as light sources and other systems.
A luminaire having a housing containing an electronics assembly and a vertically oriented high intensity discharge lamp extending downwardly from a lamp socket carried by the housing, and a reflector carried by said housing for distributing the light emitted from the lamp. The reflector is positioned in relation to the housing and the lower portion of the housing is shaped to extend upwardly and outwardly from the lamp socket to the periphery of the housing to effectuate a convective uniform airflow upward and outward away from the electronics assembly during operation of the lamp.
Surface Mounted Light Fixture And Heat Dissipating Structure For Same
A light fixture includes a heat dissipating structure, an electronics assembly, and a bolt for attaching the heat dissipating structure to an external panel. The heat dissipating structure includes a first side having multiple outwardly extending projection regions and a socket, for receiving a light source, is formed in an apex of each projection region. A second side of the heat dissipating structure includes a heat sink formed in an internal cavity of each projection region. The heat sink includes fins in contact with and radially arranged about an outer surface of the socket. The electronics assembly is located at the first side of the heat dissipating structure. The bolt includes a passage through which wiring from an external source is routed to the electronics assembly. The electronics assembly includes wires routed through channels in each of the projection regions that electrically interconnect the light sources to the electronics assembly.

Vertical Structure With Light Source Pre-Configured To Uniformly Illuminate Planes Below
A luminaire mounted above ground illuminating a plurality of fields of illuminations employing pre-configured dedicated optical lenses over plurality of light sources to produce a single uniformly lit contiguous field of illumination absent of direct glare.
Integrated Ceiling Device With Mechanical Arrangement For A Light Source
An integrated ceiling device includes a housing retaining an electronic assembly, a heat sink having a central opening, a light source coupled onto the heat sink, the housing is coupled with and disposed at least partly above the heat sink, and a central vertical axis of the housing aligns or is in proximity with the central opening of the heat sink.
Surface Mounted Light Fixture And Heat Dissipating Structure For Same
A light emitting apparatus includes a light source, a unitary formed heat sink with a plurality of heat dissipating fins, a lensed enclosure that retains a light source and at least one power consuming device other than the light source. The lensed enclosure includes a recessed opening having at least a first wall that terminates at a substantially perpendicular second wall. The plurality of heat dissipating fins are disposed on at least one adjacent exterior side of the walled enclosure, the fins extending outwardly. At least one fin coupled to the heat sink extends beyond the light source, and the heat generated by the light source travels by conduction laterally through the heat sink to the at least one coupled fin.
