I am a father and stepfather too 5 boys and 4 girls and happily married to a wonderful caring woman and we reside in Tampa Bay Florida for over 20 yrs. Native of Indiana and raised in Kentucky I accepted Christ as my Savior in a small church there at the age of 8 years old. By the time I was 20 I had already been married and a short time later, divorced with two young sons. It was at this difficult time that I began to call on the Lord and so rededicated my life too Him and received the Holy Spirit on my 21st birthday. My life has taken some extreme turns for the better as well as the for the worse, the better ones which I humbly took credit for (joke) like success financially, homes cars and the like and the bad ones, which now I realize I certainly caused or greatly contributed too and at the time wouldnt have taken credit for. But now looking back, only as a testimony to the divine intervention of a merciful and righteous heavenly Father, I see a greater work produced out of the pain whether caused by my own actions or disobedience or like alot of folks just lifes own troubles where it rains on the just and unjust, something good came out of something bad. So as amazed as I am at the patience I have been shown and through really no purposeful action on my part just a longing inside for what I had lost that money never could have bought anyway. God Almightty put me back together and so much better than before and so I give Him praise! Now I only desire to share what Ive learned by experience and that is to express faith by showing love from a unfeigned heart. I realize its not me but Him above all who has deposited within a mere man a burning desire and heartfelt empathy for the broken damaged and lost men and women in the world I occupy......I plant a seed and I care for it with concern and with hope and if it grows and bears fruit then that is the Lords work and not a mans. If one life is salvaged out there that had been shipwrecked and smashed upon the rocks of harsh and bitter circumstances then to give all would be worth it. To live out the rest of the days appointed unto me and to gain the world but give nothing back would be a tragedy even worse than a premature demise. I thank the Lord God Almighty, Heavenly Father of our Savior that He gave all and so should I. I cannot answer why the righteous perish and have not lived half their days and the wicked wax older still....its more than I could even begin to ponder much less make sense of it, but I am called to exhort the ones He has chosen for Himself and to strengthen what remains and to remind them of their hope and future and that they can stand a little longer they too shall see the salvation of the Lord! Bring into remembrance the former things , the words of Christ and the promises of an everlasting covenant which cannot be broken by a man because it is made and testified and empowered by the One who spoke our very world into existence and He shall not fail!
