Five Polish crewmen and 28 Americans were aboard the U.S. flagged ship including its captain, Michael Davidson, 53, of Windham; Michael Holland, 25, of Wilton; and Danielle Randolph, 34, and Dylan Meklin, 23, both of Rockland when it sank.
Four Mainers were on board the ship: Capt. Michael Davidson, of Windham; Dylan Meklin and Danielle Randolph, both of Rockland; and Michael Holland, of Wilton. All four graduated from Maine Maritime Academy in Castine. A fifth crew member, Mitchell Kuflik, also graduated from the academy.

Not sure if youve been following the weather at all, wrote her daughter, Danielle Randolph, from aboard the American container ship El Faro, but there is a hurricane out here and we are heading straight into it.
