Abstract:

A waterproof deck ( ) is formed with a subfloor ( ) having a waterproof sheet ( ) covering the subfloor. A T-bar strip ( ) has its stem ( ) positioned at the edge of the subfloor, on the waterproof sheet. Protrusions ( ) in the stem of the T-bar strip maintain the stem a sufficient distance away from the waterproof sheet and the underlying structure to form water passages at the free edge of the deck, which allows any water seepage through the concrete to drain at the free edge of the deck. Flashing at the sides of the deck shield the T-bar strip from direct contact with the adjacent vertical wall surfaces of the building structure.

Abstract:

Disclosed is an improved alpha calcium sulfate hemihydrate. Methods of producing an improved powdered calcium sulfate hemihydrate (CaSOHO) [alpha-type] compound are disclosed, at least one method including forming calcium sulfate dihydrate (CaSO2HO) into a briquette under high pressure, calcining the briquette to transform the calcium sulfate dihydrate to calcium sulfate hemihydrate [alpha-type], drying the calcium sulfate hemihydrate [alpha-type] briquette, and optionally grinding the briquette. Also disclosed are methods of producing an improved gypsum plaster including producing the disclosed powdered calcium sulfate hemihydrate [alpha-type] and mixing the powdered calcium sulfate hemihydrate [alpha-type] with water.
