Abstract:

An improved public intercom system is described which has a sealed enclosure including an extruded chassis having a front wall and a rear wall. The front wall has an interface panel and a viewing panel mounted within cutouts. A plurality of axially aligned module cover plates supporting system components are mounted over cutouts in the rear wall. The interface includes a speaker, a microphone, a call initiation means, and a camera positioned to acquire images of the area in front of the interface panel. One of the cover plates including an outer surface with heat dissipation protrusions, with a blower located on said rear wall being oriented to direct air across the protrusions to extract heat from the chassis interior. A two-way communication means is mounted on a module plate and programmed to initiate a call to a pre-programmed receiver responsive to a command from the call initiation means.

Abstract:

Hand-carried, battery-powered light replacing conventional bank lights are described. In one embodiment, the light includes a generally rectangular body with opposed faces, a peripheral edge having a width substantially less than the width of the faces, and a handle adjacent one end of the body; and a plurality of spaced LED emitter heads mounted on one face of the body, each of the emitter heads including a housing and at least one LED emitter. In another embodiment, the light includes a non-conductive enclosure having rectangular top and bottom walls, and side and end walls connecting the top and bottom walls, the top wall including receiving recesses; and a plurality of rotatable light sources mounted on the top wall, each of the light sources including a telescopic support post having a base end pivotally attached to the top wall and an outer end, and an LED emitter head attached to the outer end of the post.

A modular table, such as a conference table is constructed of a plurality of detachable, connected modules. Each module has a three-sided top formed by connecting three three-sided sections. Each three-sided section has a base side forming an outer edge of the module top, a first side and a second side. The first and second sides are joined at an angle of 120. degree. , and are preferably of different lengths, so that a central opening is formed in the top of each module. The base side of at least one section of each module is convex. A base supporting each module preferably has an opening so that utilities can be connected from a floor beneath the table to the table top through openings in the modules and base.
