Abstract:

Apparatus for applying labels to surfaces of packages, cartons, or boxes comprises a single rotary arm which is capable of being operated in accordance with two different operational modes so as to apply two separate labels to two different mutually perpendicular surfaces of the package, carton, or box in accordance with a first one of the two different operational modes, and to apply a single label to the two different mutually perpendicular surfaces of the package, carton, or box as a result of being wrapped around a corner region of the package, carton, or box in accordance with a second one of the two different operational modes.
