A cylinder liner and ringless piston adapted to be combined therewith in an internal combustion engine are provided that have superior wear resistance, superior scuffing resistance, and superior properties for abating friction loss between the inside surface of the cylinder and the sliding surface of the ringless piston. These embodiments can also include a cylinder liner which has at least some portion of the inner circumferential surface coated with an iron oxide film, a metallic nitride film, or other physical vapor deposition or chemical vapor deposition film, combined with a ringless piston with at least some portion of the exterior surface being coated with a metallic nitride film or other vapor deposition film.
Externally Adjustable Modular Tuned Exhaust System
A modular tuned exhaust pipe coupled to a remote controlled vehicle having a two stroke motor, having a body portion with an exhaust port. A convergent cone section is internally and slidingly mounted within the body portion and has an at last one exhaust hole. An adjustment Mechanism coupled to the convergent cone section. The turning of the adjustment mechanism slidingly moving the convergent cone within the body portion to adjust the tuned length of the modular tuned exhaust pipe. And a pressure adjustment screw, the pressure adjustment screw penetrating the body portion such that turning of the pressure adjustment screw increases or decreases the pressure within the modular tuned pipe.
A method and apparatus, for adjusting an exhaust, having an at least one body element with a housing member having an at least one exhaust outlet. An at least one exhaust element is contained within the at least one body element with an at least one slip section and an at least one spring member. An at least one pressure regulating member extends and is slidingly held between the at least one body element and the at least one exhaust element. The pressure regulating member separates a pressure chamber section within the housing, wherein the pressure regulating member is pressed against the at least one spring member by pressures built up by exiting exhaust gasses in the pressure chamber resulting in a variation in the length of the exhaust system.
The invention is directed to an adjustable clutch or torque control device. The adjustable clutch or torque control device includes a flywheel with an at least one shoe or friction transfer device and an at least one adjustment mechanism and an at least one spring member. A portion of the at least one adjustment mechanism exists within the flywheel such that it is adjusted without the removal of the clutch bell or the disassembly of the clutch and adjusts the at least one spring member so that it changes a point of engagement of the at least one shoe or friction transfer device.
