Abstract:

An apparatus for conveying signals between a communications card and a signal utilization device or network. In one form (FIGS. ), structures are provided for receiving one or more RJ series plugs and for making electrical connection with at the contacts on the plug and conveying any signals on the contacts to a communications device such as a telephone, facsimile machine, modem, or a local area network adapter. A body ( ) includes one or more recesses ( ) which receive the plug. An expandable and stretchable membrane ( ) isolates the contacts in the plug from electrical contact with an object in a surrounding environment such that passage of current from one or more of the electrical contacts to an object present in the surrounding environment is prevented. Abstract:

A scooter having a fuselage with a front portion and a rear portion that includes a rear wheel rotatably mounted at the rear portion. The scooter also includes a standing platform supported by the fuselage for supporting a rider and a transmission system mounted under the standing platform in the rear portion of the fuselage. The transmission system having a motor with a wheel engagement element being operatively coupled with the rear wheel to allow the wheel engagement element to rotate the rear wheel when the wheel engagement element is engaged with the rear wheel. Another embodiment of the transmission system includes a motor, a first drive cone coupled the motor; and, a drive cone engagement mechanism configured to allow the first drive cone to be operatively coupled with a wheel to rotate the wheel.

A method of stimulating homologous recombination by creating at least one nick in a targeted polynucleotide sequence. Wherein nonhomologous recombination is suppressed resulting in increasing the ratio of targeted to nontargeted events. A housing for a device including a first surface having a connector disposed thereon, the connector configured to mechanically couple to an oppositely mated connector on a second surface of a second device. The first surface also has a set of surface features disposed thereon, the set of surface features configured to engage an oppositely mirroring set of surface features on the second surface.
