Abstract:

Techniques and systems for settling over-the-counter financial instruments includes sampling over a periodic interval are disclosed. A volume weighted average price of the sampled process may be calculated and forward points may be applied to the volume weighted average priced to determine an associated spot exchange rate. Such a synthetic spot FX exchange rate may be published to subscribers. Over-the-counter financial derivatives may establish delivery obligations according to the spot exchange rate. In the event where a number of transactions during the sampling period is less than a threshold, a midpoint of bids and asks associated with orders for the exchange traded financial derivative may be used to determine an average of the midpoint, to which the forward points may be applied to determine the spot exchange rate. Alternatively, the time-weighted average of the bid and ask orders during a periodic interval may be used in computing the volume-weighted average price.

A call between a caller using a telephone device for the deaf (TDD) and another including a TDD user is connected by automatically prompting the TDD caller for calling information, parsing the received calling information to determine a forward number, and routing the call to one of a number of communication assistants. One embodiment involves storing the forward number before routing the call so the communications assistant can press a single button to connect the call. Another embodiment entails connecting the call automatically routing the call to the communications assistant.

A loaded magazine simulator has a channel, a bottom feature; a top feature; and at least one lower edge. The channel is configured to allow a slide of a firearm to move without causing the loaded magazine simulator to be ejected from a firearm.In some embodiments, the loaded magazine simulator can be loaded into a traditional magazine. The weight, length, and/or height of the loaded magazine simulator are selected to simulate the weight, length and/or height of a live round.In some embodiments the lower edge prevents the loaded magazine simulator from rotating and/or ejecting from the firearm. In other or the same embodiments, the lower edge orients the loaded magazine simulator in a magazine.In some embodiments, multiple loaded magazine simulators can be stacked in a magazine. The loaded magazine simulator can be made of a variety of materials, including zinc.
