Abstract:

A threaded fastener having a two-piece nut member and a bolt with the nut member having a threaded nut member and a base member is disclosed. The threaded nut member has a body portion and a neck portion, the neck portion engaging with a transition beginning engagement on the base member. The base member includes a transition portion, the diameter of the transition portion increasing radially as it extends axially from the cylindrical through bore portion to an increased diameter at the outer planar surface of the base member. Movement of the neck potion into the based member results in the threaded form having a compressive engagement with engaged threads of the bolt to provide the prevailing torque structure. The threaded nut member and base member may be made of dissimilar materials and is more flexible in use with varying bearing surfaces.

A unitary reservoir (100) in FIG. 1 made of plastic, preferably made by blow molding, comprises a plurality of hollow bulbs (110), (140) and (170) with centers along a curved line in a plane, at least one bulb being a mounting bulb (140) having a mounting tower (144) or (176) extending from said bulb, said mounting tower comprising a solid portion enabling mounting of the reservoir (100) and a hollow portion that communicates with the interior of said mounting bulb and acting to resist bending of the solid portion.

Abstract:

A Digital Recording Center having a removable playback module for permanently capturing a human voice or other sounds into a compact module for playback within a greeting card or photograph. A recording center having a microphone (or other audio input device) is used to record a brief message, in a digital fashion, for loading into a playback module. Before loading the message into the playback module, the customer may listen through a speaker to determine if his message as recorded sounds proper. If the temporarily recorded message is in good form, the customer activates a transfer command button and the message is non-volatilely stored in the removable playback module. The playback module may be placed into a compartment within a greeting card or picture, ornament, a stuffed animal or doll, or even a dog tag.
