Description:
In 1999, I graduated from college and got employment in the oil industry. I did not enjoy working for someone and I quickly started looking for self-employment opportunities. After taking the required course for Real Estate Professionals, I joined Exit Realty and I sold a house within the first week from an ad I put in the Calgary Herald. Since then, I have done 26 ends with that first client. Exit Realty had 32 Agents, and I became the top-selling realtor that year. Whether working with first-time buyers or investors, my model has been, "Make them happy and successful and they have no reason to go anywhere else." In 2003, I moved to a larger firm, Maxwell Realty, which had 1000 Realtors in its network. By 2006, I achieved the highest Maxwell Realty Award, The Pinnacle. My great relationship with my colleagues was another factor in my success. I didn't see my colleagues as my competitors; instead, they were my teammates. Everyone came to me for advice. Because I watched and studied the Calgary real estate market and statistics every day, my colleagues sought my input on evaluating properties and market trends. That gave me my first chance of potential investment properties for my clients. In 2009, I opened up my own Calgary Real Estate and mortgage brokerage and my colleagues helped in setting up the new office and joining my firm. I now have an excellent group of people to work with. My new firm is one of a kind in the city of Calgary. We are ahead of most realtors when it comes to technology — totally paperless. That helps us to utilize our experience and devotion to the highest level.
