Abstract:

In certain implementations, a method for chip singulation is provided including etching a frontside dicing trench from a front side of a wafer, forming a temporary holding material, in the frontside dicing trench, etching a backside dicing trench from a back side of the wafer along the frontside dicing trench, removing the temporary holding material and releasing the chip from the wafer or an adjacent chip. Certain implementations may include etching through surface deposited layers on the front side of the wafer. Certain implementations may further include completely filling the frontside dicing trench with the temporary holding material and etching the backside dicing trench to the temporary holding material that is in the frontside dicing trench, such that removing the temporary holding material self-dices the wafer. Certain implementations may include surrounding MEMS structures with the temporary holding material so as to hold the structures during etching of the back side of the wafer. Some implementations may include providing a carrier wafer over the front side of the wafer.

Abstract:

An improved control and monitoring system for managing more than one computer system using a witch with a single connector for keyboard, video and mouse signals for each computer being managed. A notebook style display, keyboard, and pointing device attached to the switch provide a human interface. Each computer is attached to the switch using a cable having a single connector at the attachment point to the switch and separate connectors for keyboard, video, and pointing device signals at the attachment point to each computer, thus allowing a greater density of connections to computers without modifying the computers being controlled and monitored. Even greater densities may be realized by designating one switch as a master and attaching additional switches to the master.

Abstract:

A system and method for providing an electronic program guide for broadcasted digital television wherein the electronic program guide displays only currently broadcasting minor channels, and timely event and contextual information. The system of the present invention includes program code in a memory for causing a tuner/de-multiplexor subsystem to tune to a preselected major channel broadcast frequency and to provide thereby at least one transport stream comprising a plurality of associated digital data elementary streams. The elementary streams include minor channel audio and video, as well as program and system information tables (PSIT), all of which are associated by packet identifiers to provide a table hierarchy. The system of the present invention compares presently broadcasting minor channel and PSIT information with corresponding information in memory. If the presently broadcasting information is more contemporaneous than the stored information, the stored information is updated, or replaced, with the presently broadcasting information to enable display of only actively broadcasting minor channels and up-to-the-minute event and contextual information.

A test apparatus includes a plurality of sensors placed proximate an airflow generator (e. g. a fan) to measure flow rates in respective sub-regions. The test apparatus also includes a controller (e. g. , test software) to calculate an operating point of the airflow generator based on flow rate data from the sensors and to determine if the operating print falls within a predefined operating range of the airflow generator. A system for providing a first signal to a flip circuit and receiving a second signal from the flip circuit over an electrical path adapted for use with a keypad having a keypad lighting circuit. The system includes a first circuit for providing the first signal to the flip circuit via a first electrical path, the first signal having alternating first and second states. A semiconductor device includes a semiconductor substrate, a film stack formed on the semiconductor substrate and having a film to be processed. A dual hard mask included in the film stack has an amorphous carbon layer and an underlying hard mask layer interposed between the amorphous carbon layer and the film to be processed, the hard mask layer does not include an amorphous carbon layer.
