"A seasonal spike is common this time of year," Dawn Carlson, president of the Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Stores of Iowa, said. "There is typically less inventory at pipeline terminals when our weather starts to heat up and refiners adjust production to comply with Federal Clean Air Laws."
"Nobody likes higher gas prices. Retailers dislike high prices as much, if not more, than the consumer. After all, higher prices mean less demand and fewer sales," said Dawn Carlson, president of the Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Stores of Iowa, in a news release.
