Professor gets six years in prison for her role in murder of man she says raped her

Esparza as well as co-defendants Diane Tran and Shannon Gries denied knowing that Ramirez was going to be killed, but have all admitted they should have come forward to contact authorities after his death.She was arrested in 2011 after arriving in Boston on a plane from Geneva. Van, Diane Tran and Gries were arrested a short time later. Kody Tran was also charged but killed himself during an unrelated police standoff while awaiting trial.
When Ramirez got out of the car, Gries and Van attacked him and dragged him into the van, the district attorney's press release said. They took him toKody Tran's transmission shop, where they met up with Diane Tran, the press release said.

KHOU11 reported that Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Lanny Moriarty, at the Montgomery County District Attorney's request, signed an order that vacates the contempt of court conviction that sent Diane Tran to jail last week. This is the first step in expunging the incident from her record.That clause is a disclaimer of sorts to justify why, if in the future, Diane Tran never sees a dime of this money. It sounds like it is paving the way for other people to benefit for what was intended to help this girl. These funds don't go to her, but to someone who has a greater need?
Diane Tran, an 11th-grader, was jailed for 24 hours May 23 after a judge found she had disobeyed an order not to miss any more school, KHOU-TV, Houston, reported. Under Texas law, students can only have 10 unexplained absences in a year.
