view source- Craig said Rosen's six-player trade that brought Dravecky, Mitchell and Lefferts to the Giants, along with another that added veteran Don Robinson to the starting staff, was pivotal to the Giants winning the division in 1987.Rosen engineered key trades that year for Kevin Mitchell, Dave Dravecky, Don Robinson and Craig Lefferts that helped the Giants' late-season surge. Current A's manager Bob Melvin was on that 1987 team.
