Abstract:

An apparatus and method that can be used for marketing and advertising during the system check of a computer, which is one of the busiest periods that the computer or computer type device has, which occurs just before the computer or computer type device initializes its operating system and after power up. The methodology is to run various forms of advertisements/commercials while the computer or computer type device is busy. The present method calls for the advertisements/commercials to run during the time window when the system check is normally displayed at a very rapid pace, and prior to the operating system attempting to engage and run the computing device. While the system check is occurring the present invention calls for advertisements/commercials to run in the foreground covering, if not all, a portion of the monitor screen.

Abstract:

A transaction product includes a substantially rigid housing, a pump assembly, and an account identifier. The substantially rigid housing defines a substantially liquid-tight reservoir, an outflow aperture, and an external surface. The substantially liquid-tight reservoir is configured to maintain a liquid therein. The pump assembly is enclosed within the substantially rigid housing and is in communication with the substantially liquid-tight reservoir and the outflow aperture. The pump assembly is configured to move liquid from the substantially liquid-tight reservoir, through the pump assembly, and out the outflow aperture and into an external environment surrounding the substantially rigid housing. The account identifier is statically connected to the external surface of the substantially rigid housing and links the substantially rigid housing to at least one of an account and a record and is machine readable by a point-of-sale terminal.

Abstract:

According to one implementation, a network supervision system includes one or more computing platform(s) coupled to multiple nodes of a network including the computing platform(s), the computing platform(s) including a hardware processor and a system memory storing a network participant supervising software code and a network participant registry. The hardware processor executes the network participant supervising software code to detect an anonymously administered node of the network, aggregate system log files of the anonymously administered node, and perform an analysis of the system log files using an unsupervised machine learning algorithm to identify an administrator of the anonymously administered node. The hardware processor further executes the network participant supervising software code to generate a registration record associating the administrator with the anonymously administered node, and update the network participant registry using the registration record.
