Abstract:

An insole for footwear comprises a footbed having an upper surface and a lower surface, with a raised arch support portion on the upper surface of the footbed capable of supporting a longitudinal arch and a transverse arch of a human foot. The shape of the insole can generally correspond to the shape of a plantar surface of the human foot, thereby providing support to substantially the entire plantar surface of the foot.
