Respiratory Syncytial Virus Vaccine Based On Chimeric Papillomavirus Virus-Like Particles Or Capsomeres
The present invention is directed to a chimeric papillomavirus virus-like particle (VLP) or capsomere including an L1 polypeptide and, optionally, an L2 polypeptide, and a respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) protein or polypeptide fragment thereof comprising a first epitope, where the RSV protein or polypeptide fragment thereof is attached to one or both of the L1 and L2 polypeptides. Chimeric proteins, genetic constructions, and recombinant vectors and host cells suitable for expression of the constructs and making of the chimeric VLPs or capsomeres are also disclosed. Use of the VLPs or capsomeres, or a pharmaceutical composition containing the same, is contemplated for inducing a protective immune response against RSV.

Recombinant Expression Of Self-Folding Neutralizing Epitope-Bearing Subdomains Of The Respiratory Syncytial Virus Attachment And Fusion Proteins
The present invention is directed to self-folding, soluble, stable RSV G and F polypeptides that contain a neutralizing epitope. Fusion proteins and immunogenic conjugates containing the RSV G and F polypeptides, along with recombinant transgenes and vectors, and host cells suitable for expression of such genetic constructs are also disclosed. Use of the RSV G and F polypeptides, fusion proteins, immunogenic conjugates, or a pharmaceutical composition containing the same, is contemplated for inducing a protective immune response against RSV.

Abstract:
Fluorinated 1-hydroxy-2-naphthamide couplers which are N-substituted with a lower alkylphenoxybutyl ballasting group are disclosed as well as compositions and photographic elements containing these couplers in coupler solvent particles. The coupler solvent particles are comprised of a combination of a coupler solvent and the coupler capable of permitting the formation of a microcrystalline dye. Surprisingly these microcrystalline dyes exhibit a broadened absorption characteristic in the 750 to 850 nm region of the spectrum. Dye images having such absorption characteristics are particularly suited to forming integral infrared absorbing sound tracks in photographic elements, such as motion picture projection films.

Abstract:
Products which are phosphorus containing oligomers having ##EQU1## linkages between phosphorus atoms and which are obtained by the self-condensation of. beta. -haloalkyl esters of pentavalent phosphorus acids or by condensation of these esters with an alkyl ester of a pentavalent phosphorus acid are treated after residual acidity has been neutralized with an alkylene oxide for a period of time which is sufficient to enable the alkylene oxide to act upon labile groups contained in the condensed product, i. e. , cyclic, pyro and bridged groups, and to neutralize any further acidity generated by the opening of such groups. The stabilized products formed by this process when incorporated in a polyurethane foam formulation produce a foam having superior green strength to a foam containing such products which have not been treated in accordance with this invention.

Suffolk DA: No criminal charges in deadly 2014 Back Bay Fire
BOSTON, April 21, 2015The employees and owner of a Malden metalworking company acted carelessly but not recklessly the standard for criminal prosecution in Massachusetts when they unwittingly started a fire that went on to claim the lives of Boston Fire Lieutenant Edward Walsh, Jr., and FirefigEdward Walsh and Michael Kennedy made the ultimate sacrifice while saving lives and property from a fire that engulfed an entire building in the middle of a residential neighborhood, Conley said. This decision in no way detracts from the bravery of their actions or the tragedy of their loss. The This city will never forget the gallantry of Edward Walsh and Michael Kennedy, who entered a burning building fully aware of the danger that waited inside, Conley said. It's been said that there is no greater love than to lay down one's life for a friend. But Edward Walsh and Michael Kennedy did
