Abstract:

A system and method for installing and retaining an input/output connector without tools is presented. A user removes a module from a computer system in order to add or remove a transceiver. The module includes a housing and a front bezel, whereby a bezel latch attaches the front bezel to the housing. The user depresses the bezel latch to remove the front bezel from the housing. As a result, a retention beam is exposed on the housing that secures transceivers to a circuit board. The user unlatches the retention beam, inserts a transceiver onto a mounting area, and latches the retention beam. The retention beam applies pressure to the transceiver, which results in a coupling of the transceiver to a circuit board included in the housing. In turn, the user attaches the front bezel to the housing via the bezel latch and reinserts the module into the computer system.

Abstract:

A system and method for installing and retaining an input/output connector without tools is presented. A user removes a module from a computer system in order to add or remove a transceiver. The module includes a housing and a front bezel, whereby a bezel latch attaches the front bezel to the housing. The user depresses the bezel latch to remove the front bezel from the housing. Abstract:

In accordance with the present disclosure, a rack equipment mount with a self-locating/self-adjusting rear fastener mechanism is disclosed. The equipment mount can have a first rail and a second rail securable horizontally in a rack system, wherein self-locating fasteners or receivers can be slidably connected to the rails. Rack mountable equipment to be inserted into the rack can have a mating fastener attached to the rear of its chassis and the self locating fasteners can engage with the mating fasteners as the chassis is slid into the rack. The self-locating fastener can be spring loaded in a forward position and slide along the rail to self-locate at the appropriate depth when a chassis is inserted into the rack. The self-locating fasteners allow equipment chassis of varying depths to be installed into a rack and easily secured at the rear of the rack. Such a self-locating rear fastener system can comply with NEBS requirements when the screw is utilized to secure the rail to the self-locating fastener receiver and the chassis.

Abstract:

A manual release assembly for a surgical tool includes a first release plate including a first pair of arms engageable with a first pair release gears arranged within a drive housing, a second release plate including a second pair of arms engageable with a second pair release gears arranged within the dive housing, and a first angled slot defined in the first release plate and a second angled slot defined in the second release plate. A release switch provides a transition pin extendable into the angled slots and manually movable between disengaged and engaged positions. When in the disengaged position, the arms are disengaged from the release gears, and when manually moved to the engaged position, the transition pin moves through the angled slots and urges the release plates in opposing lateral directions such that the arms engage and rotate the release gears.

Abstract:

A surgical tool includes a drive housing that houses a plurality of drive cable capstans, an elongate shaft that extends from the drive housing, and an end effector operatively coupled to a distal end of the elongate shaft. A plurality of drive cables extend between the drive housing and the end effector, wherein each drive cable is associated with a corresponding drive cable capstan and rotation of the drive cable capstans correspondingly moves the drive cables to articulate the end effector. A manual release assembly is coupled to the drive housing and includes a release switch that is manually movable between a disengaged position and an engaged position. When the release switch is manually moved to the engaged position, the drive cable capstans are rotated to move the drive cables and thereby manually articulate the end effector.
