Abstract:

An expandable atherectomy burr has numerous cutting elements that expand radially outward as the burr is rotated. The cutting elements can include arms or flaps that have an abrasive surface thereon and expand as the burr is rotated. In an alternative embodiment, the burr includes a stack of cutting disks, each of which includes cutting elements that expand as the burr is rotated in order to create variably sized lumens in a vessel.

Abstract:

A biopsy forceps having a proximal end and a distal end. The biopsy forceps includes a handle at the proximal end of the biopsy forceps. The handle includes a body portion and an actuator axially displaceable relative to the body portion. The biopsy forceps further includes an end effector assembly at the distal end of the biopsy forceps. The end effector assembly includes a pair of opposed end effectors operable between an open position and a closed position. A catheter portion connects the handle to the end effector assembly so that axial displacement of the actuator relative to the body portion causes the end effectors to move between the open position and the closed position. The handle is shaped to receive the catheter portion to lock the end effectors in the open position.

A screen door for a cooling package of a vehicle that includes proximal and distal frame posts, screen surface, torsion bar, stationary support, torsion bracket and fastener. The proximal frame post is hingedly coupled to the cooling package, and the distal frame post can be hingedly coupled to a secondary door. An adjustment member can be attached to fastener between torsion bracket and stationary support.
