Abstract:

A portable easel comprises an easelback and palette box joined by two lockable hinges mounted on opposing sides, the hinges having friction washers, and having knobs extending outward from shafts of each hinge, the shafts defining a rotational axis. With knobs loosened, the easelback may be rotated to a desired angle relative to the palette box, and, with knobs tightened, the friction washers lock the easelback into position. The easelback further comprises a canvas-holder having a vertically adjustable slidable lower support plate and a vertically extendable shaft, said shaft having a horizontal cross member configured with rotatable hooks for securing a canvas. The palette box further comprises a right-angle baseplate for tripod connection to advantageously place the opened easel's center of gravity at the baseplate-to-tripod connection. The easelback may comprise slots for storing canvases, and the palette box may be configured with multiple compartments for storing paints and accessories.

Abstract:

A heuristic control system and method for use with a computer-aided design, capable of learning complicated control and achieving an optimizing task with a fewer number of iteration. The heuristic control system includes: rule-based system for choosing and evaluating a rule among a plurality of given rules; training system for choosing strongly a rule whose evaluation result is favorable based on a predetermined value which evaluates an evaluation result of the rule-based system, and for generating a learning pattern; and neural network for designing an optimized circuit based on a signal fed from the training system and for sending a resultant signal to the rule-based system for another iteration of heuristic control. The learning method includes the steps of: choosing and evaluating a rule among a plurality of given rules; choosing strongly a rule whose evaluation result is favorable based on a predetermined value; generating a learning pattern which brings a desirable result based on the evaluating step; designing an optimized circuit based on the learning pattern generated; and choosing and evaluating iteratively a rule among a plurality of given rules.

Novel Heterodimeric IgG-Like Bispecific Antibodies (HILBAs) are provided herein. Such bispecific antibodies are similar to IgG in structure and, thus, do not exhibit a limited half-life like previous antibody fragment-based bispecifics. Moreover, such heterodimeric IgG-like bispecific antibodies advantageously do not entail complicated generation methods such as Fab arm exchange and common light chain methods. Unlike canonical IgG antibodies, the HILBAs described herein include at least one monomer that is from N- to C-terminus: a VH-scFv linker-VL-CL-domain linker-CH1-hinge-CH2-CH3.
