Abstract:

Methods, systems, and computer program products for caching and reusing bearer channels for voice over packet sessions involving wireless entities are disclosed. According to one method, a setup request message is received for a voice over packet session involving a wireless entity. In response to the setup request message, a bearer channel is established using bearer channel setup signaling. When the first session is released, the bearer channel is cached for a predetermined time period. A second setup request message is received. The second setup request message involves the first and second nodes and a wireless entity. In response to the second setup request message, the cached bearer channel is re-used for the second session.

Abstract:

An automatic washing machine comprises a spin tube coupled to the basket and an agitator shaft coupled to an agitator mounted in the basket. A motor coupled to the agitator shaft applies a torque the agitator shaft and thereby the agitator in first and second torque directions. A clutch couples the spin tube to the agitator shaft for cooperative rotation of the basket and the agitator regardless of the rotational direction of the agitator shaft. Because of the dual directionality of the clutch, reversing the motor simultaneously dynamically brakes the basket and the agitator, thereby eliminating the need for a separate friction brake for the basket.

Abstract:

Methods, systems, and computer program products for providing transcoder-free operation in a media gateway are disclosed. In one method, first and second lists of media encoding rates and corresponding indices used by first and second media endpoints of a media stream connection are received. It is determined whether transcoder-free operation is possible for the media stream connection based on the first and second lists. In response to determining that transcoder-free operation is possible for the media stream connection, a transcoder-free connection is established in the media gateway between the first and second endpoints using a single digital signal processor to monitor and map between indices and encoding rates used by the first and second endpoints during the media stream connection.

The subject matter described herein includes methods, systems, and computer program products for transporting ATM cells in a device having an Ethernet switching fabric. According to one method, at least one ingress ATM cell is received at an ATM network interface of a device having an Ethernet switching fabric. Next, the connection associated with which the ingress ATM cell is identified. The ATM cell is encapsulated in Ethernet frame addressed to a media processing resource associated with the connection. The Ethernet frame is forwarded to the media processing resource across an Ethernet switching fabric.

Abstract:

A water trap cup for use in connection with a drain tube in a refrigerator is described. In one embodiment, the water trap cup includes a bottom wall and a side wall extending from the bottom wall. The side wall includes retaining webs configured for retaining an end of the drain tube within the water trap cup, and a bottom stop extends from the side wall and maintains the drain tube end spaced from the bottom wall so that a seal is not formed between the bottom wall and the drain tube. The retaining webs generally define a first chamber and a second chamber, and the first and second chambers are in fluid communication. To assemble the water trap cup to the drain tube, the first chamber is aligned with the tube, and the cup is pushed upward into engagement with the drain tube until the drain tube end contacts the bottom stop.
