Abstract:

A packaged optical device includes a substrate having a surface region with light emitting diode devices fabricated on a semipolar or nonpolar GaN substrate. The LEDs emit polarized light and are characterized by an overlapped electron wave function and a hole wave function. Phosphors within the package are excited by the polarized light and, in response, emit electromagnetic radiation of a second wavelength.

A system and method for providing laser diodes emitting multiple wavelengths is described. Multiple wavelengths and/or colors of laser output are obtained by having multiple laser devices, each emitting a different wavelength, packaged onto the same substrate. In other embodiments, multiple laser devices having different wavelengths are formed from the same substrate.

Abstract:

Methods and systems for remote ordering. The methods and systems may include receiving vendor information associated with a plurality of vendors and transmitting the vendor information for presentation on a wireless device. In addition, the methods and systems may include receiving an order from the wireless device, wherein the order includes a selection of at least one item from the vendor information associated with a vendor and transmitting the order to the vendor for processing. The methods and systems may also include receiving a notification in real time or near real time with an order status from the vendor and transmitting the notification to the wireless device.
