Abstract:
A hair curling method in which the hair is wound on a longitudinally slotted curler supported by a removable cylindrical core. With the hair wound a desired amount, the core is moved axially to remove it from the curler, leaving the hair wound on the curler. A bobby pin is then inserted through one of the slots of the curler to grip the layers of hair wound on the curler and secure the hair in a curl. The curler is removed from the hair curl by sliding axially, leaving the curl supported only by the bobby pin. The hair curler and core are then used for forming additional hair curls. The curler and core are provided in a plurality of different diameters so as to produce curls of the desired size and may be combined in kit form.

Abstract:
An apparatus for hair curling. A substantially cylindrical base is integral with and depends into a plurality of uniformly disposed extension members, each of the extension members being tapered along the longitudinal axis of the cylinder. The diameter of the terminus of the extension members is less than the diameter of the cylindrical base. Each extension member is in uniform spaced relation to adjacent extension members about the circumference of the body of the hair curling apparatus. Each extension member is separated from an adjacent extension member by an open channel which terminates in the vicinity of the cylindrical base. Strengthening ribs are uniformly aligned along the interior surface of each extension member, the strengthening ribs being disposed from the terminus of the extension members along substantially the full length of the extension members and terminating in the vicinity of the cylindrical base.
A game which employs a rectangular horizontal board including a plurality of scoring openings formed therein in a particular pattern. Each of the openings are circular and of the same diameter. The diameter of each opening being in exact relation to the diameter of the playing ball. Surrounding each opening is a slightly recessed or depressed area in order to encourage movement of a playing object into contact with that opening. The playing objects will comprise a plurality of balls which are substantially larger in size than the openings. The playing surface is surrounded on three sides by a sidewall and on the fourth side an inclined ramp is located. The ball playing objects are to be moved up over the ramp and onto the playing surface. The ramp is to be reversible so as to facilitate playing of the game of this invention on both a carpeted surface and a hard surface. Additionally, the ramp has two variously disposed kick bars, one on each side, to cause one of the balls, when moved with sufficient velocity over the ramp, to be propelled through the air onto the playing surface.
