Hostess' final shipments take place Friday, said Erik Halvorson, a spokesman for Hostess, the same day CEO Gregory F. Rayburn said it filed a motion with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court to close its business and sell its assets.
The notices were sent to alert employees that a sale or wind down of the company is possible in the future, spokesman Erik Halvorson said in a statement. Our goal is still to emerge from bankruptcy as a growing company. There are no immediate actions being taken to sell or wind down the company.
