Abstract:

Systems and methodologies for improved query classification and processing are provided herein. As described herein, a query prediction model can be constructed from a set of training data (e. g. , diagnostic data obtained from an automatic diagnostic system and/or other suitable data) using a machine learning-based technique. Subsequently upon receiving a query, a set of features corresponding to the query, such as the length and/or frequency of the query, unigram probabilities of respective words and/or groups of words in the query, presence of pre-designated words or phrases in the query, or the like, can be generated. The generated features can then be analyzed in combination with the query prediction model to classify the query by predicting whether the query is aimed at a head Uniform Resource Locator (URL) or a tail URL. Based on this prediction, an appropriate index or combination of indexes can be assigned to answer the query.

Abstract:

Techniques are disclosed for providing a domain-aware snippet for a search result. With such techniques, a domain classification component is provided for identifying a template used to generate a plurality of web pages of a domain, associating the template and content of the web pages related to the template with a Uniform Resource Locator pattern of the plurality of web pages, and storing the associated template, the related content, and the Uniform Resource Locator pattern in a database. A snippet extraction component is also provided for extracting text from a section of a web page of the plurality of web pages for a snippet of a search result corresponding to a search query, wherein the extracted text is based on a ranking value of the section and the relevance of the extracted text to the search query.

Abstract:

An extensible process design provides an ability to dynamically inject changes into a running process instance, such as a BPEL instance. Using a combination of BPEL, rules and events, processes can be designed to allow flexibility in terms of adding new activities, removing or skipping activities and adding dependent activities. These changes do not require redeployment of the orchestration process and can affect the behavior of in-flight process instances. The extensible process design includes a main orchestration process, a set of task execution processes and a set of generic trigger processes. The design also includes a set of rules evaluated during execution of the tasks of the orchestration process. The design can further include three types of events: an initiate process event, a pre-task execution event and a post-task execution event. These events and rules can be used to alter the behavior of the main orchestration process at runtime.

Abstract:

Techniques are disclosed for providing a domain-aware snippet for a search result. A uniform resource locator (URL) is identified for a search result obtained in response to a search query, and it is determined that the URL corresponds to a single domain that has a plurality of web pages that are generated using a template that is common to each of the web pages in the domain. The template comprises a hypertext markup language (HTML) layout pattern that includes multiple sections shared by the web pages. A ranking value is assigned to the multiple sections and is used to identify a first section of the template that is relevant to the search query. A snippet is provided to a user for the search result; the snippet includes at least a portion of text from the first section.

Abstract:

A system and method for efficiently rotating data in a processor for multiple operand sizes. A processor comprises a rotator configured to support multiple operand sizes. The rotator receives a rotate amount and an input operand with a size less than a maximum operand size supported by the processor. The rotator generates a mask with a same size as the received input operand. The mask comprises a number of asserted most-significant bits equal to the rotate amount. The remaining bits in the mask are deasserted. For a given rotation result bit position with an associated asserted mask bit, the rotator selects a value in the input operand at a bit position with a distance from the given result bit position equal to the rotate amount plus a difference between the maximum operand size supported by the processor and the input operand size.

Abstract:

Web sites are crawled using multiple browser profiles to avoid malicious cloaking. Based on web page content returned from HTTP requests using the multiple browser profiles, web sites returning substantively different content to HTTP requests for different browser profiles are identified. Web sites are further filtered by common cloaking behavior, and redirect scripts are extracted from web page content that performed cloaking. Signatures comprising tokenized versions of the redirect scripts are generated and compared to a database of known cloaking signatures. URLs corresponding to signatures having approximate matches with signatures in the database are flagged for recrawling. Recrawled URLs are verified for malicious cloaking again using HTTP requests from multiple browser profiles.

Techniques for multi-representational learning models for static analysis of source code are disclosed. In some embodiments, a system/process/computer program product for multi-representational learning models for static analysis of source code includes receiving at a networked device a set comprising one or more multi-representation learning (MRL) models for static analysis of source code; performing a static analysis of source code associated with a sample received at the network device, wherein performing the static analysis includes using at least one MRL model; and determining that the sample is malicious based at least in part on the static analysis of the source code associated with the sample and without performing dynamic analysis of the sample, and in response to determining that the sample is malicious, performing an action based on a security policy.
