Abstract:

A wireless packetization apparatus for transmitting and/or receiving multimedia data including video data in a radio transmitting/receiving system, and a method thereof are provided. According to the present invention, error resilience can be increased by adding error protection codes to one portion and a plurality of portions of multimedia-related header information, respectively, when multimedia data such as video data requiring real time or low delay are transmitted and received in a wireless environment, and a packet drop rate can thereby be reduced. Also, information can be more precise recovered by inserting length identifier and length information on an information region into the header.

Abstract:

A disposable vinyl glove having a fastening belt includes a hollow formed seamless body member, an open proximal end, and a cuff portion at the proximal end. The cuff portion has a fastening belt fixed on the outside surface of the cuff portion. The end of the fastening belt has an adhesive area, an adhesive layer is covering the adhesive area and a removable release sheet is covering the adhesive layer. The adhesive layer can stick with the surface of the cuff or tying belt together. After the glove is worn, the cuff of the glove is tightened on the wearer's wrist by the fastening belt and the adhesive means sticks the fastened tying belt and the outer surface of the cuff together, thereby the disposable vinyl glove is tightly secured on the wearer's hand. Thus, the disadvantages of the glove being loose on the wearer's hand and the chance that liquid can move into the glove are avoided. The improved disposable vinyl gloves are a kind of the best alternative gloves to disposable latex gloves which may affect a certain percentage of the population with an allergic reaction.

Abstract:

The invention relates to a method for fabricating a regenerative polysulfide-scavenging layer (RSL). The method includes embedding nanowires or nanocrystals of metal oxides with a membrane of carbon nanotubes (CNTs); and forming the RSL with the embedded nanowires or nanocrystals of the metal oxides and the membrane, so as to enable lithium-sulfur batteries with high energy density and prolonged cycling life. The invention also relates to a lithium-sulfur battery that contains the RSL.

Abstract:

A composite electrolyte membrane usable for ionic conductor for an electrochemical device contains a support matrix adapted to function as at least one of a mechanical support, a fire retardant, and an electronic blocking layer; a material of metal-organic frameworks (MOF), the MOFs being a class of crystalline porous solids constructed from metal cluster nodes and organic linkers, where the MOFs are incorporated into the support matrix by coating, lamination, physical mixing and press, in situ growth or polymerization; and a liquid electrolyte impregnated the porous MOFs and adapted to function as an electrolyte modulator to immobilize anions and liberate cations.

Abstract:

An electrolyte modulator usable for a metal battery includes a liquid electrolyte; and a material of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) incorporated in the liquid electrolyte to form a MOF slurry electrolyte. The MOFs are a class of crystalline porous solids constructed from metal cluster nodes and organic linkers and capable of bonding anions, eliminating ion pairs and boosting cation transport upon activation and impregnation of the liquid electrolyte.
