Abstract:
A plurality of test chambers or fixtures are operable for successively testing a plurality of condoms, respectively, in an automated manner. Each test chamber for testing a condom includes a housing containing a porous liner having an interior cavity conformed to the exterior shape of a condom to be tested, whereby a holder carrying the condom is inserted into the liner, a closed pathway for gas flow is provided between a gas port of the holder and the interior volume of the condom, for permitting the condom to be inflated with the gas, causing the exterior walls of the condom to be pushed against opposing inside walls of the liner, permitting gas passing through holes in the condom to flow through pores in walls of the liner to another gas port of the housing for detecting unacceptable holes in the condom using differential pressure techniques and/or gas tagging.

Abstract:
A pair of opposing shoes are alternately and successively moved into and out of contact with a ring previously formed on a prophylactic device on a mandrel, whereby the mandrel or the shoes or both are moved in a direction during each time of contact of the shoes with the rolled portion of the device, for at least partially rolling the prophylactic device up toward its closed end, with the process being repeated until the prophylactic device is rolled up and off of the mandrel.
Production Of A Post-Foaming Gel And System Therefor
A stable post foaming gel suitable for producing lathers for shaving, shampooing and other personal care use is formed for packaging in a continuous closed system by passing the post foaming gel components through a pressurized tank to a filling machine for introducing the formed post-foaming gel into a suitable package or container, with the system being pressurized by the pressurized tank.

Abstract:
A plurality of rolled-up prophylactic devices are passed through a plurality of pairs of unroller tubes with a randomizer vessel being coupled between each pair of unroller tubes, the randomizer vessels functioning to randomly reorient a portion of rolled-up ones of the prophylactic devices passing therethrough to move a rolled-up portion of each of the latter to the outside of the associated prophylactic device to facilitate unrolling of the same as it passes from the randomizer vessel into another one of the unroller tubes. A separator tank has an inlet port coupled to an output end of the last occurring unroller tube, for collecting the processed prophylactic devices, and for applying a vacuum to the system for sucking the prophylactic devices through the unroller tubes and randomizer vessels.
Prophylactic devices are made in an inert atmosphere by cooling mandrels on which the devices are to be deposited, dipping the mandrels into a polymeric material in a solvent/carrier and a mold release agent, rotating the mandrels during and after the dipping, and evaporating the solvent after dipping. The apparatus includes an air lock between a section in which these functions are performed and a section located in an air atmosphere for removing the devices from the mandrels, followed by cleaning the mandrels for use in a subsequent production run for making devices.

A solid stick composition, in a container, is moved through a protective tunnel wherein the stick is cooled to effect solidification, remelted to fill any void in the stick, cooled to solidify, and polished, by heating and cooling, with filtered air flowing through the tunnel to remove heat therefrom.
