A two-stage fising bobber including a bobber main body normally buoyable in a body of water with the bobber main body having an opening extending through a vertical float axis of the bobber main body and a slideable rod slidably positioned in the cavity of the bobber main body with the slideable rod normally resiliently maintained in the bobber main body in an up position but downwardly displaceable with respect to the bobber main body in response to a first force on the fishing line which is sufficient to displace the slideable rod with respect to the bobber main body but not sufficient for a viewer to discern the displacement of the bobber main body with respect to the body of water to thereby provide a first-stage visually indication. The bobber main body and the slideable rod both displaceable into the body of water in response to a second force larger than the first force to thereby provide a second-stage visual indication.
A slip bobber rig having an elongated member carrying a slip bobber and a bobber stop with one end of the line securable to a fishing line and the other end of the line securable to an article of fishing tackle as well as a method of attaching a slip bobber to a fishing line without having to thread the fishing line through the slip bobber.
A two-stage fishing bobber including a bobber main body normally buoyable in a body of water with the bobber main body having an opening extending through a vertical float axis of the bobber main body and a slideable rod slidably positioned in the cavity of the bobber main body with the slideable rod normally resiliently maintained in the bobber main body in an up position but downwardly displaceable with respect to the bobber main body in response to a first force on the fishing line. In one embodiment the force is sufficient to displace the slideable rod with respect to the bobber main body but not sufficient for a viewer to discern the displacement of the bobber main body with respect to the body of water to thereby provide a first-stage visually indication. In another embodiment the force to depress slidable rod is sufficient to overcome at least some if not all of the buoyant force of the bobber main body to thereby allow the simultaneous submersion of the bobber main body and the displacement of the member with respect to the bobber main body so as to provide gradual resistance in addition to two-stage visual indications.
The invention relates to a fishing tackle stem guide for use in fishing in multiple seasons. The stem guide includes an elongated rod, at least one sleeve stop, a stem connector and a line stop. The elongated rod includes at least one line shoulder therein extending from an outer surface of the elongated rod to within the elongated rod for receiving a fishing line. The at least one sleeve stop limits the movement of a sleeve in a lengthwise direction of the elongated rod. The stem connector is located on a first end of the elongated rod. The line stop system includes a movable sleeve positioned on the elongated rod and is located on a second end of the elongated rod for fixing a position of the fishing line in a first line shoulder relative to the elongated rod in a first position to enable the fishing line to be restrained from sliding along the line shoulder and for positioning the fishing line in a second line shoulder in a second position to enable the fishing line to be slidable along the line shoulder. The sleeve stop is positioned between the first position and the second position to prevent the movable sleeve from sliding over the entirety of the line shoulder in the second position.
A bail assembly for a spinning-type fishing reel is disclosed that includes a first bail arm, a second bail arm, a bail wire disposed between the first bail arm and the second bail arm, and a readily releasable attachment device disposed on the first bail arm to readily releasably attach the first bail arm to the reel.
The invention relates to a stem guide that is configured to receive a replaceable cartridge. The stem guide includes a cartridge receiving end having a cartridge attachment means for attaching the cartridge to the stem guide in a manner that the cartridge can be removed from the stem guide without causing an amount of damage to either the cartridge or the stem guide which prevents either the cartridge or stem guide from being used again. The stem guide may be provided in a kit form with a variety of replaceable floats, scent sticks and light sticks.
