Abstract:

Convenience in American lives promotes business. Gardening often requires weeding, fertilizing and watering on a regular basis. The frequency of these tasks is weather and climate dependant. The dryer climates of the Southwest require daily watering of gardens. Dry fertilizers are washed away with excessive watering. A single product that minimizes weeding, eliminates fertilizing, eliminates the need to apply mulch and reduces watering, while providing a biodegradable product has been invented.

Abstract:

A solvent based plastics recycling process directly reduces large volumes of post consumer plastic waste materials by up to 500% by volume. Minimal sorting and no cleaning is required, and large percentages of contaminants are tolerated. The process yields a highly adhesive resin which cures to a hard wood or masonry type material. The reduced end product, an epoxy sludge, may be formed to provide a lumber or brick substitute. Large percentages of shredded paper and other waste materials, including metals, may be added to the plastic waste materials, if desired.

Abstract:

Two or more tube structures preferably are extruded or pultruded in plastic or resin to make a pallet that is strong and durable. The tubes preferably are extruded simultaneously to create a one piece, integrated pallet. The pallet may be molded from recycled plastic. Various configurations of pallets made from several tubes are disclosed, including custom pallets for receiving particular or specially shaped items.
