Abstract:

A storage device for sterilizing and storing dental appliances, oral hygiene devices or dental brushes is shown. A vase type container has an opening for receiving dental appliances or oral hygiene devices therein. A sterilization bath container is suspended in the opening. Holes around the opening allow oral hygiene devices or dental brushes to be suspended therearound. Dental appliances, oral hygiene devices or dental brushes are dipped in the sterilization bath and placed inside the vase-type container. Oral hygiene devices or dental brushes are dipped in the sterilization bath prior to being suspended in the holes or placed in the vase-type container. A top is placed over the opening for sealing the sterilization bath and covering dental appliances, oral hygiene devices or dental brushes while allowing fresh air access thereto.

Abstract:

A device for removing liquid and small particulate matter from various surfaces is provided. The device includes a single compartmentalized enclosure supporting a rechargeable battery, a vacuum source and an airflow booster system for drying the surface. As liquid and particulate matter are vacuumed via a hose or other vacuum director, they are trapped in a removable reservoir container which may be detached from the device for emptying and cleaning. The exhaust air produced from the resident vacuum system may be accelerated by a booster system which redirects accelerated airflow through a set of louvers toward the damp spot left by the removed liquid. The booster system may be used individually, without the aide of exhaust airflow from the vacuum, to also effect such drying of the surface. The device also has attached a signal system to alert passersby of the hazard created by the damp surface supporting the device in the preferred embodiment. All electronic functions of the device are adapted to be operated from a rechargeable battery power source which may be removed from the device for recharging or may be recharged in place via a recharging socket.

Abstract:

The invention provides a press for bread products which includes two horizontally opposed, inclined press blocks which contain electromagnets with a trapezoidal pendulum block is pivotally mounted between the press blocks. The pendulum includes two large permanent magnets. The polarity of the electromagnets is switched in a manner to force the pendulum to swing from contact with one press block to the other. A dough ball distribution system is also provided which distributes dough balls to interstitial positions between the pendulum and the press blocks, so that when the polarity of the electromagnets is switched, the pendulum press block presses the dough ball into a tortilla. A heating system is provided to heat the press blocks and pendulum block to partially cook the tortilla and aid in removing the pressed blocks after it is pressed. Controlling circuitry is also provided which controls the activation of the heating system, the motion of the press block, the timing between the dough ball distributor and movement of the pendulum press block.

Abstract:

A synchronized press and method for forming bakery products. A press plate presses a portion of bakery product ingredients against a rotatable disc in a continuous motion. A conveyor belt deposits portions of the bakery product ingredients on the disc at timed intervals. A gearing mechanism synchronizes the movement of the press plate and disc so that the horizontal speed of the press plate is substantially equivalent to the angular speed of the disc. The gearing mechanism also synchronizes the deposit of bakery product ingredients on the disc.

Abstract:

An apparatus for processing a batch of dough includes a housing that supports a conveyor, a press, and a cutter. The apparatus further includes a drive motor for the conveyor and press. Upon the placement of a batch of dough on the conveyor, the conveyor feeds the batch of dough to the press. The press squeezes the batch of dough against the conveyor to compress it into a thin flat sheet. After the batch of dough has been compressed, the conveyor feeds the flat thin flat sheet to the cutter. The cutter includes an elliptically shaped cutting edge so that, as the flat thin sheet of dough passes underneath the cutter, the cutter cuts ellipses of dough for delivery to a baking device. The motor forms part of a chain drive system that drives the conveyor in an endless loop and, further, drives the press to compress the batch of dough into the thin flat sheet.

An imprinting press and cooking apparatus for a dough product includes an imprinting station with respective opposed lower press and upper imprinting plates and rotating plate or endless belt conveyors adjacent the imprinting station for moving the dough product which has been pressed and imprinted through a cooking or baking phase. Heat sources are disposed adjacent the imprinting station and the conveyors for preheating the dough product for release from the printing station and for cooking the dough product, respectively. A pressure air slide is disposed between conveyor stages for transferring the dough product from one conveyor stage to another. Pressure air is supplied to the air slide through a conduit and into a chamber for flow through a perforated plate which supports the dough product for movement along the slide.

Abstract:

A compact tortilla press and oven unit. The press delivers formed tortillas to the oven wherein they are toasted on a plurality of rotating oven discs. The tortilla is initially received by a first oven disc upon which a first side of the tortilla is partially toasted. Upon completion of one revolution of the first oven disc, the tortilla is removed therefrom by a first scraper. A second rotating oven disc adjacent to and in vertical alignment with the first oven disc receives the tortilla on a second side thereof by means of a slide intermediate to the first and second discs. The slide receives the tortilla upon removal thereof from the first disc and allows the tortilla to turn over and be placed upside down on the adjacent disc. Upon completion of one revolution of the second disc, upon which the second side of the tortilla has been partially toasted, the tortilla is removed therefrom by a second scraper. The toasting of each side of the tortilla is completed in a similar sequence by a third and fourth rotating disc in vertical alignment with the first and second discs.
