Abstract:

An electrical filter connector assembly including a housing, electrical contact terminals, and a capacitive filter circuit. The housing is sized and shaped to be plugged into a socket of a gas generator. The housing includes at least one contact receiving hole. The electrical contact terminals each have a wire connection section and a female connection section. The terminals are located in the at least one contact receiving hole. The capacitive filter circuit is connected on the wire connection section of a first one of the terminals for providing electromagnetic induction suppression.

Abstract:

Method and apparatus for an improved camlock fitting having outer/inner cam lever which are restrained against unintended opening or rotation by a pivoting locking member which is pivotally mounted onto an axle disposed in a corresponding hole on the cam levers so that the pivoting locking member can be easily pivoted in the vertical plane relative to the cam arms. Each of the outer and inner arms has a pivoting locking member mounted on its underside in a protective housing. The camlock fitting may also have an air vent. Together this provides a safety lock assembly for the cam lock fitting so that when the cam lock fitting is pressurized unbeknownst to the operator and the operator attempts to open the cam lock fitting, the safety lock assembly will prevent operation or complete separation of the male and the female portions of the fitting to prevent inadvertent pressurized discharge of hazardous materials.

A method and apparatus for an improved rotatable safety cam lock fitting with an air vent having ergonomically designed double cam levers having outer and inner portions so that when the outer cam levers are opened and the inner cam lever remain closed, the male and female portions of the cam lock fitting only slightly separate from each other allowing the operator to quickly reclose the cam lock fitting if the operator observes that the cam lock fitting still contains pressurized material. This is accomplished by providing a larger cam lobe on the outer cam lever and a smaller cam lobe on the inner cam lever so that when the smaller cam lobe is in a closed position and protrudes into a peripheral groove on the male portion the male and female ends have a small space therein between. Various configurations of the cam portions relative to each other are provided. Various lever locking assemblies may be used to prevent the cam levers from being inadvertently opened.

Abstract:

Method and apparatus for a safety lock assembly for a cam lock fitting mounted onto the outside of the cam lock fitting in close proximity to the cam levers to prevent complete separation of the male and the female portions of the fitting to prevent inadvertent pressurized discharge of dangerous materials. In one embodiment, this is accomplished by having slidable bosses upon which the cam levers are mounted which bosses are adapted to slide in response to movement of a safety handle so that the male and female portions of the cam lock fitting only slightly separate from each other allowing the operator to quickly reclose the cam lock fitting if the operator observes that the cam lock fitting still contains pressurized material. In a second embodiment, an earless cam disk moves on slotted, fixedly mounted bosses in response to movement of a safety handle similarly to the first embodiment.

Abstract:

Method and apparatus for an improved recreational canopy which may be used with watercraft wherein the canopy is constructed by using a pair of flexible, resilient rod-like members wherein one end of each of the flexible rods is inserted through mating apertures in an upright support member mounted onto the watercraft, or other structure, so that the rods are bowed outwardly and frictionally held in the stanchion. A canopy, which may incorporate solar cell fabric, is attached between the rods so that the canopy generally appears to be in an elongated V-shaped structure which stretches across a portion of the supporting structure, such as a watercraft, between the flexible rods. The upper end of the upright support member may be pivotable and the rod-like members may be disposed in a cap removably disposed on the upper end of the upright support member. A lighting system including an alternative power source being provided on the canopy. Also, a user driven pedal system for providing propulsion to a kayak watercraft is shown which includes a generator driven by the pedal system for providing additional electrical energy for use on the watercraft and for propelling a kayak by either a propeller or flappers.
