Glenn was raised in a small logging town in the mountains about 30 miles east of Seattle,Washington. His stepfather was an astute business man who dabbled in real estate, and his grandparents at one time had over 70 "rental homes." Glenn bought his first home at the ripe age of 22, for "nothing down", using "O.P.M." He rented out the rooms to college students and ran a successful vacuum cleaner sales business out of it, while he put himself through college.He bought his second home, a real "fixer-upper", a few years later and did quite well utilizing his "sweat equity".Glenn was in full-time ministry for years, but one of his hobbies was finding fixer homes that he could refurbish and rent out to create "passive income." In the 90's and early 2000's, Glenn found several homes that were going to be torn down in Hilo, Hawaii, and moved them to the country.
