Abstract:
An automatic protective bagel slicing system for automatically slicing food, such as bagels or rolls, into symmetric halves within an enclosed drawer for precluding injury to a user. The inventive device includes an encasement having an interior cavity, a drawer slidably projecting into the encasement, a loop blade rotatably connected mesial a motor and a pulley traverse to the drawer's line of motion, and a slot within the drawer to receive the blade. An outer track is secured to a bottom surface of the drawer and an inner track is secured to a bottom surface of the interior cavity for slidably engaging the outer track. The food to be sliced is positioned within the drawer and the drawer is pushed into the encasement where the blade cuts the food into symmetrical halves.

Abstract:
A frozen hamburger patty separator for separating a single hamburger patty from a frozen hamburger block including a U-shaped holding member having a bottom wall connected to front and rear walls for holding a frozen hamburger block in place. A U-shaped handle support component is connected to the holding member, and a blade support component is pivotally mounted on the handle support component. A separator blade is connected to the blade support component and is less than 2 inches from the pivotal mounting. A handle is connected to the blade support component for pivotally moving the separator blade between a separating position for separating hamburger patties from the frozen hamburger block and a non-separating position for allowing the frozen hamburger block to be moved along the holding member for holding the frozen hamburger block. The frozen hamburger patty separator is made of a material selected from the group consisting of durable plastic, steel, stainless steel, and aluminum for ease of cleaning and repeated use.

Abstract:
A gripping tool of the pliers type for removing an inking plug from an ink container including a pair of pivotally connected handle members being connected by a pivot pin; and a pair of opposed semi-circular shaped jaws rigidly attached to the pair of handle members, respectively; such that each of the jaws forms an arc of between 90. degree. and 180. degree. Each of the jaws has an L-shaped configuration in cross section and including a first wall member for engaging a first surface of the inking plug and a second wall member perpendicular to the first wall member, wherein the second wall member engages a second surface of the inking plug and includes a chamfered edge for engaging the space between the inking plug and the ink container for wedging them apart to allow the first and second wall member of each of the jaws to move towards each other so that the respective first and second wall members of each of the jaws may fully engage the first and second surfaces of the inking plug to pull it away from the ink container.
