Abstract:

A wheeled apparatus includes a base having sides, a front, rear, upper surface and lower surface, with a pair of leaves forming sides of the base and pivotally connected thereto and a pair of gates forming the front and rear and pivotally connected to the base and leaves. A handle subassembly and a leg subassembly are connected to the base, with a wheel subassembly connected to the leg subassembly. The apparatus is configurable in a cart mode, a table mode with gates and leaves oriented in a flat horizontal plane, a dolly mode with leaves and gates connected to form a cart but with leg subassembly lowered closer to the ground relative to the cart mode, and a stowage mode, where the leaves and gates collapse into the base, the handle subassembly retracts into the base, and the leg subassembly collapses up into the lower surface of the base.

Abstract:

A clasp comprising a securing rail and a clasp body. The securing rail comprises an elongate rail comprising a rail top, a pair of opposing clasping flanges extending lengthwise of the rail and a plurality of locking teeth spaced and extending lengthwise of the rail. The clasp body is configured to receive the clasping flanges of the elongate rail and to secure the clasp body to the rail against radial movement relative to the rail. At least one engaging tooth is operatively associated with the clasp body to engage the first plurality of locking teeth to secure the clasp body against movement in at least one axial direction lengthwise of the elongate rail with the clasping flanges received in the clasp body.

The present invention is an attachment system for modular stowage units. The system features a rail matrix utilized with a clasp system. Each rail component of the matrix features either a raised bridge or a loop onto which the clasp system attaches and may be a modular rail.
